Pay Per Click Campaigns
Pay Per Click

Pay Per Click Campaigns is the more expensive way to get quick traffic to your website. A lot of times I have run across customers that tried pay-per-click without really knowing what they are doing and ending up using a lot of money with no way of knowing if it did any help or not. This is why it is VERY important to put tracking URLs in place and to hook up your account with an analytics program. For example, if you use Google AdWords you can hook this up to your Google Analytics account where they already have several already built reports that can help you out.

These pay per click campaign reports can tell you such things as:

  • Which ad is bringing the most traffic to your website.
  • Which ad is bringing you the most sales, leads, sign-ups, etc. After all, if you have an ad that brings you a ton of traffic it is good to know if you are getting anything from that traffic (conversions).
  • Which keyword phrases are bringing you the most traffic, sales, sign-ups, leads, etc.
  • What locations are the traffic coming from

These are just a few things that you can get from these reports. Also, we have created custom reports to meet your needs and really narrow down the data to make your campaign a more successful one.

By examining the data from these reports your pay per click campaigns can be tweaked to be very effective. That is why I recommend a minimum amount to spend at first to weed out negative keyword phrases, find the popular locations, find out what the most popular phrases that are used so that we are not wasting money but instead gaining important knowledge. Once we have that important knowledge then we raise the monthly budget of the campaign and run reports to show how effective the campaigns are compared to how much you spend.

Another resource that we use over here at The Internet Presence, LLC is keyword research first to get a better insight and competition analysis using places such as Moz and Spyfu to find out what is the most popular and what works best for the competition. Why do trial and error when you can see what already works best for others?
